Location of Harbour Island

One of the 700 islands that make up the Bahamas, Harbour Island is about 200 miles from Miami, 60 miles from Nassau and two miles east of Eleuthera.

To get to Harbour Island from the United States, fly into Nassau, Miami or Ft. Lauderdale. From Europe, fly into Nassau or Miami. From either of these three cities, make sure you are booked into the tiny airport at North Eleuthera (MYEH is for private air while ELH is the commercial air code) - a recently improved Port of Entry for private flights with a 6,000 foot landing strip. MYEH is served by these airlines:

-United Airlines
-Bahamasair

Once you've landed at MYEH, you'll take a 6-minute cab ride from the airport to the Three Islands Dock, then a less-than-10-minute water taxi ride to Harbour Island. Land and water taxis are always available and fares are about $5-7 per person. Make sure you tell your driver to take you to the South Bar dock if you are heading to South Bar. Harbour Island's Government Dock is on the other end of the island.
